Beyond Sustainability

Humans Can Live Regeneratively

The way I see it, we all need to work together to make positive change in society and to properly prepare for the inevitable: change.

Human culture has always been deeply rooted in the way we survive.

Whether its hunting, gathering, or farming, the need to secure vital resources brings humans together and is at the core of civilization.

Any thriving human system has a functional agricultural and/or horticultural system that sustains it.

Modern production practices have resulted in mass disconnection from how we obtain our food and in turn from that key part of our culture that brings people together.

On top of that, the massive agricultural and horticultural systems that sustain most of us today are environmentally toxic, unsustainable, and fragile.

As the climate continues to shift and our vital resources grow more scarce, these systems are at a higher risk of failing.

Permaculture is an ethical design and maintenance proccess for regenerative human habitats.

Building our human habitats with this proccess means building resilience and anti-fragility into our communitys.

This means we will be better equipped to adapt and survive in a rapidly changing world.

By integrating our resource production with our home and community lives, permaculture connects us back to the earth and each other through mutual benefit and cooperation.
